A PDF made only of images and tables now reads through in full. Upload it as it is and ask away - the answer draws on what sits inside the tables, so there is nothing left to retype.

A Response Level Selector

You can now set how much thinking goes into an answer, right from the input box - High for the hard questions, Low when you just want a quick reply. Answers that need longer reasoning get the time to finish, so they arrive complete instead of cutting off.

Motif 3, our own 300B model, arrives first as a beta. The bigger model brings noticeably more accurate, better-phrased answers, and the badge in the input box tells you which model you are talking to.

Document Attachment in Chat

Attaching documents used to be limited to enterprise workspaces - now anyone can do it right from chat. You don't even need to be signed in: drag a file in or use the refreshed attach button, and the assistant will search your document to help answer. Drop in a report or reference and ask away.

Dark Mode That Follows Your Device

The app now follows your device's appearance setting - if your OS is in dark mode, Motif automatically switches to a dark theme. The background, input box, and chat surfaces all shift to darker tones with no setting to toggle, while light mode stays exactly as it was. It's easier on the eyes at night or in low-light spaces.

A Refreshed Chat Home

The main chat screen you see after signing in has a fresh look. A gradient greeting tailored to the time of day and your name appears with a smooth animation, and the input box and background have been cleaned up for a tidier first impression.

Source Chips in Answers

When the AI answers using web search, you'll now see a source chip at the end of each cited sentence. Tap a chip to see exactly which site it drew from - favicon, domain, title, and publication date - and on mobile, chips with multiple sources open a bottom-sheet list you can browse. Citations stay in place even after you refresh or re-open the conversation, so you can check the basis for any answer at a glance.

Small Talk: Group Chat

You can now talk to Todak and Talkchic in the same room. Todak answers with warm empathy while Talkchic gets straight to the point, so the conversation moves with the energy of a group chat. Group Chat has been added to the history panel, so you can switch between it and the single-character rooms anytime.

ETF Assistant: A Guide While You Build

An AI assistant now walks you through building an ETF from start to finish. It reads your investment style, suggests a theme, and helps with picking holdings, setting weights, and even naming the fund. If you're not sure where to begin, just start the conversation and fill it in one step at a time.

Small Talk: Conversation Starters From Talkchic

Talkchic now sends conversation starters to the main page, not just Todak. You'll see a topic worth picking up, which makes it easier to fall into a wider range of chats. We also smoothed out moving between rooms and added a way to clear a character's conversation whenever you want.

You can now backtest an ETF you built and see one-month, one-year, and five-year returns as charts and numbers. You can also line it up against major market ETFs. Instead of stopping at the build, you get to see whether your strategy actually held up.

Ask about a specific company and the AI gathers recent articles and boils them down to the essentials. You get a read on the company's direction and current issues without opening a dozen tabs yourself.

Academic Posters From PDF Papers

Choosing Which Files to Use

When you've uploaded more than one file, you can now pick which ones a question should draw on. Even with a pile of material, answers come from the document you meant.

Editing Suggestions for Images

After an image is generated, the AI suggests ways it could be reworked. It's a quick way to settle on a direction, or to try a style you wouldn't have thought of.

Editing Drafts in Place

Report drafts built from a conversation are now directly editable. Fix a phrase that doesn't sit right or add what's missing on the spot, and bring the draft closer to final.

Uploads Raised to 40MB

The one-file-at-a-time limit is gone - upload any number of files per chat as long as the total stays under 40MB. A new indicator also shows how much space each conversation is using.

Report Drafts From Conversation

You can now generate a report draft from your conversation with the AI. Bring your uploaded files into it and the draft pulls from several sources at once, and you can download the finished draft as a PDF.

Conversational Image Editing

Both AI-generated and uploaded images can now be edited through conversation. Change the background, add or remove objects, adjust the style - all in the same chat.

Answers From a URL

Include a URL with your question and the answer is built from that page. The link has to come at the very start of the message - one placed mid-sentence or at the end won't be picked up.

Chatting With a Document

Upload a file and you can talk about what's inside it. Ask for a summary, an explanation, or anything you're unsure of, and dense material gets a lot easier to work through. For now, one PDF or TXT file up to 20MB is supported.

Small Talk: Saved Conversations

Sign in and your Small Talk conversations are saved. They used to disappear when the session ended - now you can pick one back up or look through what you said before.

Unsafe Requests Blocked Up Front

Sensitive or inappropriate messages and image prompts are now checked in stages and blocked before anything is generated. Both text and image use are safer for it.

Regenerating Answers and Images

Answers and images can now be regenerated. Run the same request again, see a different take, and keep the one that fits.

A Force-Search Option

When a search wouldn't trigger on its own, you can now force it to run. For questions that hinge on current information, that means a more grounded answer.

Text chat and image generation now live in the same service. Make an image inside the conversation, ask about it right there, and keep talking - without switching anywhere.

Images made in Art Assistant are kept and can be reopened from the history panel on the left. Up to 10 are stored for now, and that may change later.

Chats in the conversational and medical consultation services are stored so you can continue them later. Up to 20 are kept for now, and that may change later.

A new image generation service has opened in the Labs section. Enter a prompt in English and the image you're after is a step away.

Daily Usage Limits

Search and image generation are available to signed-in members, and both carry a daily allowance. It refills at midnight KST, and the policy may change later.

Medical Consultation: Referenced Pages

The medical consultation service now answers from search and shows the pages it referred to. The number of searches is limited for now, and once it runs out, answers are generated without search. The next version brings the same capability to the conversational service, along with a clearer usage policy.

If a response isn't going where you wanted, stop it immediately instead of waiting it out, and carry on with the conversation.
